i woke up at noon today after a late night to the saddening news of the death of scott walker. his path inspired so many, but no one to my knowledge has truly followed in his footsteps with the same uncompromising vision and originality. the world has lost an extraordinary voice and poet.
about a year ago i recorded a simple cover for voice and guitar of one of my favourites of his songs, "two ragged soldiers", and today i decided it would be appropriate to build on what i had already recorded and release it in his memory.
i also include two lo-fi improvisations i recorded last october for guitar and two violins which i deem suitably mournful to accompany the song.
RIP SCOTT WALKER (1943-2019)

Noisy electronic art pop from a wonderful friend, intimate and emotionally charged. Gives me shivers within the first 20 seconds every time. Dear Laika
Math rock, drone, avant-prog, chamber pop, folk, tape experimentation, poetry..... One of my favourite albums ever and it never fails to move me. Kiran's the guy. Dear Laika
